Chapter 1:
A love that can never be, thought Scruffy, as she traced a heart in the sand outside of her dad's house. Her dog ran up to her and growled at her. "Go away, Sam! You're trampling all over my heart!" The dog ran off, leaving pawprints in the dirt.
The name in the dirt was no longer recognizable.
She shook her head. "I'm going for a walk, I guess. It will get my mind off...them." A single tear fell off her cheek and onto the cold asphalt.
"I love you, but you'd never love me." She said to herself.
3 DAYS LATER
"Do I have everything?" Dev scanned her room for any items she may have forgotten. It was finally summer, and Dev would be going home. "Oh, wow. I forgot my purse. D'oh!" She grabbed her purse and ran out the door.
While, they were driving in the car, Dev stopped and shook her head. "I..."
He rmother turned around. "What's wrong honey."
Dev started to cry. "I'm in love. I can't believe I...I'm in love.
A WEEK BEFORE...
Kitty danced delicately across the open space of her living room. A doll of Vilkas smiled back at her, its smile wide and plastic.
"Vilkas...If I liked someone besides you, would you be offended.?"
The doll blinked.
"HOLY FUCK!" Kitty threw the doll across the room, shattering it in a billion pieces.
"I wonder, though..."
"Please! Why won't you take me back? I miss you...so much! Say anything...just don't say that you left me." The fragile girl shook with emotion.
"That's all there is to say." Liz frowned and walked away. Dragon collapsed on the ground, her body shaking with muffled sobs.
I'm still breathing, but we've been dead for a while...
"Dragon, are you telling me you're not over that stupid Liz girl? You need to grow up!" It was Cynthia who said this.
Her hair was a shade of jet black, and it furled into tight curls. She always wore bright red lipstick, and although no one would say it to her face, her clothing was a little too revealing and she had a slight mustache growing. Dragon shook her head.
"N-n-no. I, i'm so over here. She was...a.." Dragon's voice shook.
"Whore?" Cynthia suggested.
"NO!" Dragon got up and slammed the door behind her.
It was casual conversation now. It was not the topic of gossip, speculation, or emotion anymore...it was simply there, and everyone acted as if it had always been there.
Yes. Everyone knew that Scruffy was in love. No one knew who this object of affection was. It was more of a matter of when. You knew she was in love when her eyelids started to flutter and she dropped her books in the hallway. You knew she was in love when she dazed off while reading her favorite book.
And her parents knew she was in love because she spent every night clutching a diary and crying.
Scruffy walked home. She stayed after school to work on a project. The harsh digital glare from her cell phone read 8:00. Her friend, Daisy (A/N: THIS IS AN OC, DO NOT STEAL!!!1) walked beside her. "Tell me who you like." She demanded. Scruffy shook her head. "No one." Daisy stopped, and pointed a knife at scruffy. "Bitch, you're going to tell me who you fucking like or I'm going to cut your little artery in half, got that? The mystery isn't fucking funny anymore." Scruffy gasped, breathing heavily. She took a few steps backward into the street. Car horns blared and brakes whined. Scruffy screamed in pain, but one word was clear above the carnage. Dev.
Dev stepped off the plane into the busy airport. People bustled around her. She sighed and gathered her luggage. She'd left in a hurry, and only packed a few carry ons. The plane ride had been peaceful.
She'd called a cab about 8 minutes before, and she slowly slipped out into the hot minnesota summer air to wait for it. She checked her phone and let out a small sigh, leaning back on a pillar. She smiled as a yellow cab pulled into view. She hastily threw her bags in the trunk. The cab smelled like smoke and she thought she saw a cockroach on the floor. But it was all she could afford. "You know the way, to the uh, Milwaukee Hospital?" Dev avoided eye contact. The driver nodded and pulled forward.
The cab moved seemingly sluggishly over the hilly countryside. FInally, he pulled into the parking lot and held out a hand for his payment. "I-I-oh.." Dev fiddled around in her bag for her change. She placed a zip-lock bag full of Sacajawea dollars she had raided from her mom's coin collected into the hands of the driver. She took her bags and went into the hospital. It was a sterile environment, which contrasted with Dev sharply. The girl's hair was a mess, and her eyes sagged.
A pleasant looking nurse smiled at Dev. "May I help you?" Dev blinked, taken aback even though she was in a hospital and should expect this.
"Yes. I need to see someone, Scruffy, uh Jamie." The nurse cast Dev an odd look.
"Are you her step sister or something?" She questioned.
Dev fidgeted. "Um, girlfriend, actually."
The nurse shrugged and waved Dev into the pediatric ICU.
She could see Scruffy's battered body from here. She ran into the room and gasped. Scruffy was not conscious, but she was stable. Her face was bruised and lightly burned. Her arm had been broken, and was raised up. Dev smoothed back Scruffy's hair and gently kissed her forehead.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner."
A/N: that actually made me kind of sick to write.

Liz: Dragon who the hell asked you
Mazzew: That was dev.
Mazzew: Scruffy is in the hospital.
Dragon, clutching a pink and lacey heart.
Tears flowing down her cheeks.
"I'm ruining it..." She said as her tears had smudged the writing on the heart.
"It was already ruined." Dragon froze, shuddering as she felt a warm hand trail along the base of her neck.
"Kat..." A voice said her name huskily from behind.
Dragon turned around and shivered.
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"Why do you ask questions?" The other girl took dragon's face and passionately pressed her lip's against the smaller girl.
Soon, they were rolling each other, embraced in snogging. Kat pulled away for a breath, but was instantly enveloped back into the other's girl mouth.
"God.." She sighed softly. "Come on, you gotta get out of my room, let's go for a walk..." She was cut off again by the mysterious lips.
"She didn't make it. I'm so sorry." His voice was distant and metallic, as if he had uttered the words so many times they had become commonplace.
Dev heaved, and fell to the ground, retching. "No."
"There was a body found in the river today, underneath the old bridge. It appeared to be suicide. The body has been identified as Mike Hunt's daughter."
"And it's over." A voice hissed
"It's my turn, now."
DUN DUN DUN
You could say I killed her. You could say I was just as responsible as someone who held a gun to her head and pulled the trigger.
But I don't think of it that way. It was her choice. With murders, there is no choice...someone makes all your decisions for you. But if they're weak, they're better off dead. It's not my sentiment, it's nature's. Don't shoot the messenger.
"You're not going to get me a laywer..." I said distantly. Not caring.
"Why should I? You don't deserve one. You're pleading guilty."
"No, I'm not. You have no right to decide for me." I was filing my nails.
"Like I want to talk about this now. Get out of my sight."
"I'm too good for your sight anyway," I slammed the chair into the table and walked to my room. Regardless of warnings, the future doesn't scare me at all.
"The Mike Hunt case has now been ruled a homocide, as per evidence found at the scene of the crime.
The alledged killer of Mike Hunt's daughter, who call herself by the stupid name of "CS Flat", has run away from home. Authorities are clueless as to where she can be found. If you have any information as to where the suspect can be found please call-" Kitty turned off the tv and sighed softly.
Who was CS Flat? And why did she kill Dev?
"There's only one person who can stop CS Flat. And that's me!" Kitty went to her closet and got out a superhero outfit. It was kawaii, with a big greek looking toga thing, an a gold lucifer spear like angol mois's but it was more blinged out.
"Prepare to die, CS Flat!"
Kitty's spear weapon was also a CS Flat detector. She also brought a few other things along with her. She had some sushi, 3 mangas, JTHM, and the kero ball. (/reference you won't get) It started pointing all around and kitty was like "Oh shit, I can fly on it like a harry potter broom, lol here I go!" The lucifer spear shot out into the distance, and kitty was like
"OMG WHY DID I DO THIS I'M GONNA DIE" BUT IT WAS TOO LATE. She stopped in the middle of the night sky when she noticed a faint bright light.
"Hello, I'm your guide to help you KILL THAT BITCH CS FLAT!!!" It was a little ball of light with wings, and it was colored cyan.
"OMG, YOU'RE NAVI?!?!?!?" Kitty screamed.
"No....Navi is blue, I'm cyan. Are you color blind? My name is Loony."
"That's a stupid name." Said kitty. Loony turned around and said,
"ooohh! I told you it was stupid! WHY DO I KEEP LISTENING TO YOU?!" Said Loony. "I don't know" said a voice in the background.
"Well whatever, this chapter is pretty pointless." Said kitty and she directed her spear back to CS Flat and Loony stremaed after her.
Eventually she stopped outside of an abanonded factory.
"This must be it." Said Kitty, looking at her watch. "Let's get this over and done with. Storage wars starts at 8." Kitty flew her spear to the factory and hit a force field and was like "OOOWWWWWW!"
"INTRUDER INTRUDER INTRUDER" SAid an alarm obnoxiouly.

"CS Flat...who are you, and why did you kill dev? WHy'd you do it?" Kitty demanded.
CS Flat chuckled. (CS Flat doesn't recogonize kit cuz OF HER EPIC SUP HERO DISGUSE)
"Dev...all you care about is Dev? She's but one loss! With the lives I plan to take, she will be nothing more than a bacterium! No, a protist! No one cares about protists!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Said kitty unnecessarily.
Two cool little minions, that were flying dragon lizard things, flew up to CS Flat, puffing and flaring their neck flaps at Kitty.
"I'm building a statue that will allow me to take over the world. It will send radio waves all over pekopon! Control their minds, be my slaves....GLORY FOR ME!"
"Well...why?" Asked kitty. CS Flat seemed pained, almost.
"Dev found love. I didn't...I just wanted her to notice me, but she didn't. It's an eye for an eye. If I can't love you, NO ONE CAN!" CS flat made a sweeping hand gesture and the ground uprooted itself and big chunks of pekopon's crust began to fly at kitty.
Kitty desperately tried to avoid the flaming rocks that were hurled towards her, and she grunted as she almost fell off the spear, holding onto it like a monkeybar.
She then did some epic flip thing backup right on it and pointed her finger at CS Flat, "YOU EVIL SHE-DOG!" She said, giving her the finger.
But she was gone.
The rocks were a mere distraction. She had pulled the cloak of night over her and she was lost to the world.
Kitty facepalm'd and re calibrated her CS FLAT detector and flew off. But little did she know, CS Flat had a hore shoe magnet with her and Kitty's detector was majorly jammed. Kitty was flying all over hell.
"Oh my god! WHO MADE THIS DETECTOR?!?!?" She screamed.
Suddenly, the sky was illuminated by a tall column of light. Kitty gasped and zoomed her spear over to the strange white light.
The ground was shaking violently as the earth groaned beneath its crust. She lifted a hand to shield her eyes. Out of the ground rose a GIANT CS FLAT STATUE, ACCOMPANIED BY DRAMATIC MUSIC. CS Flat was standing on its head as it rose from the grave, laughing evily. She pulled down her hood, revealing.................................................
.............
BENNIE! Bennie smiled wickedly. "So, Gladiator Girl..." Bennie clapped her hands slowly. "You thought you could defeat me, didn't you? How cute. But I had already won." She scoffed.
"Bennie! But, but...but how?!" Kitty demanded. CS Flat's eyes grew wide and she sent a wave of energy flying at Kitty, almost knocking her into the ground for a fatal blow. She restored her composure and was able to use the lucifer spear to get herself upright again. This was impossible. Bennie was dead. News of her death was all over cattails.
"Who are you?" Bennie grabbed Kitty by the toga and shook her violently.
"Kitty...I'm Kitty..." She choked out. Bennie gasped and dropped the girl to the ground. "We thought you were dead, Bennie."
"And you were correct!" Bennie snapped. "My name isn't Bennie. My name is CS Flat!" CS Flat did a hulk-groan and lifted up a big chunk of dirt.
"S-s-stop!" Kitty lifted up her spear and used it's magic to stop Bennie's dark magic. The two weapons stood in perfect balance, struggling against each other's equal forces.
"Why-erg!-did you f-fafa-ke your death?!"
"I didn't want to see anyone...anymore!" With a surge of energy, Bennie fired the chunk of dirt at Kitty.
Kitty gasped, her body under thousands of pounds of pressure. She choked out her final words,
"I know someone...you...won't get away with this..." Kitty took one last breath and fell limp under the weight.
Bennie smirked. "I already have."
They were somewhere in ukraine, in the forests near Chernoybl. Bennie didn't know. A steady rain beat down.
"Let me go! Please...please...why are you doing this to me? Who are you?" Liz threw herself against the walls of her prison, desperately looking for a way out. Bennie had lured her here the day before. It had all been too easy.
CS Flat pulled down her hood.
"Oh...hello, Liz. Remember me?" Bennie grinned, showcasing a mouth full of sharp fangs.
"I'll kill you fast. I liked you." Bennie polished a cool samurai, holding it up to the light. Both of them snapped around at the sound of a loud crash.
"The hell..." Bennie looked around, frantically searching for the cause of the noise.
"I won't let you hurt Liz!" Bennie gasped as she saw a shadowy figure flying towards her. Bennie held her attack back with a shaking arm, and recognized the sharp flash of a knife in the moonlight. Suddenly, her attacked backed off, shaking.
"B-b-bennie...?" Her voice shook.
"Dragon. It's been a while. Nice to see you. Get ready to die." CS Flat slowly slit her arm with her knife and held it up.
"We can be connected by blood, Dragon."
Liz banged herself against her cage. "DRAGON! Help Me!" She begged.
Dragon shook her head. "This side of you..." Dragon whispered. "That I never knew, never knew."
"All those things you said...they were never true, never true...." Dragon reached into her sack and grabbed some potassium and chucked it at Bennie's face. Bennie fell over, and the potassium began to violently react, setting the droplets of rain ablaze. Dragon touched Bennie's burned face, tears rolling down her own. The cloaked CS Flat growled deeply and sprang up, face burned away from the potassium. Dragon gasped and tried to back away, but Bennie was too fast and pressed the young girl against a tree, holding a knife to her throat.
"So, it comes to this?" Bennie grinned. She carved a delicate line on dragon's neck, and licked the blood off the knife.
"I won't let you hurt Liz...I...love...her!" She choked out.
"I'm sorry. I truly am...But it's time for you to die, too." Bennie held the knife over dragon's throat, taking her sweet time. Dragon could feel her sticky sweat on the nape of her neck, feel her heart pounding out of her chest.
Bennie was frozen.
And then she fell onto the ground.
"What...Bennie?" Dragon rushed to her former friend's side.
Looking closer, she realized there was a shining red knife stabbed through her friend's stomach.
"No...! Bennie...you can't die!" Dragon knew this was irrational, but she couldn't stop herself from clinging to CS Flat's shaking body.
"I have to....This wasn't me....I'm free! I'm free!" Bennie reached up a shaking hand to caress Dragon's face. Bennie's eyes flickered a few times, before closing for the last time. Dragon screamed, tearless sobs emanating from her body. Dragon cradled Bennie's lifeless body in her arms, the heavens crying along with her.
"Liz..." Dragon got up and turned around. Liz's expression was grim. Dragon hastily opened the door to her cage and threw herself at Liz. Their mouths attacked each other in a passionate kiss.
"Let's go home. You're my girlfriend after all." Said Liz.
"Huh, I guess I am!"
"Kitty's spear is over there...we can ride it home." Liz said sadly, remembering Kitty's violent death.
"Okay. But first." Dragon ran over to Bennie's body. She ran her fingers along her ripped and tattered cloak, letting out a shaky sigh. She curled her fingers around the handle of the red knife and pulled it out. Who did this? Dragon thought. The knife was painted with intricate designs and symbols. She couldn't see any kind of name. She wiped the blood off the knife and delicately put it in her backpack.
"Yeah. I'm ready to go."
"We are proud to present the two new admins of Cattails!" An automated voice said from above. Dragon clung to Liz, smiling in delight. Liz giggled and bowed. Wolferay stalked up to them.
"Congrats." He smirked.
"You'll do great!" Marlinny chirped.
"I think you guys will make good admins." Fry agreed.
"Dragon and Liz...it's a great new era!" Pickles cheered.
Liz left a light peck on Dragon's cheek, and the younger girl blushed.
"What's that over there?" Dragon pointed to a tattered piece of paper. Liz shrugged and grabbed it.
It read
Don't stress over this. You're great. -The Red Knife
Dragon and Liz both laughed.
"It looks we really do have someone watching over us." Said Dragon.
"Yeah. It's cause everyone cares about you." Said Liz.
A love that can never be, thought Scruffy, as she traced a heart in the sand outside of her dad's house. Her dog ran up to her and growled at her. "Go away, Sam! You're trampling all over my heart!" The dog ran off, leaving pawprints in the dirt.
