Wowowow...We haven't had this kind of thread for awhile, I remember I made one waaaay back in 2011 or something, and I'm sure some of Cattailsians' beliefs have changed a little. NO FIGHTING.
I'm agnostic theist, I believe in God but just barely, and I don't think it can possibly be proven until death. I don't believe in Jesus or any other demigod (if that's appropiate to call him /shot) or religious prophet or whatever.
I definately believe in an afterlife or perhaps several, like reincarnation, ghostlihood, and hopefully a heaven-like place. I think maybe angels are real, or maybe at least a spirit that guides each individual.
I also believe animals have souls (at least any animal with consciousness, I don't know if jellyfish or starfish do, since they don't have brains, and brains are kinda linked to consciousness..?). I think there is some kind of correspondence with the brain and the soul, or at least the soul and consciousness.
Don't know if this counts as religious but I believe in sort of a gentle fate, like maybe some events are predetermined but if something drastic is changed the result is prevented.
My mom's side of the family is very religious and my mom made me attend catholic classes and I hated it ugh.

Well, I tend to describe myself as being a Buddhist of sorts, from a philosophical point of view, but an Agnostic Atheist from a religious sense. I don't believe that a God with human senses needs to exist in order for the world to exist as-is, but I wouldn't say no to the notion that it is impossible for one to exist.
I briefly considered joining Islam because of my admiration for their history in the fields of science, but it's a lot of commitment and I can't take that /shot

i sort of believe in god, and that jesus was his son (well, sort of, more metaphorically if you get what i mean because "every person is a child of god" yadda yadda).
but i don't really believe in a heaven or hell, i just think the idea of those are used to enforce good behavior in people. they are interesting, though. a life of eternal happiness and peace versus an eternal life of sadness and strain with no hope of escaping. heartwarming.
i also think people take the bible too seriously. if you just followed the ten commandments (with a few exceptions) i think we'd all be good. other sins in the bible are mostly found in the old testament, which is of course, older than the new testament. and besides, i don't think god would have chopped anyone's head off for wearing mixed materials back in the day. people will still argue about it, though.
but honestly i'm not religious at all lol

I was gonan be like "WOW MY VIEWS HAVE CHANGED A LOT" but then I found this thread I was looking for and it's only a year old
NOW I'M AGNOSTIC ATHEIST, so still don't think it can be proven until death, but w/e. Same on the jesus/demigod/prophet thing. Same for the rest though.
